Wells MP James Heappey was delighted to meet with the new Chief Constable Sarah Crew this week to discuss policing issues across Somerset. 

Wells MP James Heappey has welcomed the decision by the County Council to assist in saving the 126 bus - which will now continue to run from Axbridge to Wells. 

Wells MP James Heappey has been reappointed as Minister of State in the Ministry of Defence. 

New Prime Minister Liz Truss has given Mr Heappey the role of Minister of Armed Forces and Veterans. He will also attend cabinet. 

Wells MP James Heappey presented his petition at County Hall today (Friday) calling on Somerset County Council (and North Somerset Council) to step in and subsidise the 126 bus between Wells and Weston-super-Mare.

As you read this, students across the Wells constituency will be getting their A-Level and T-Level results.  

I know a lot of work has been done to ensure the examination period went as smoothly as possible this year, and I want to congratulate everyone on their results.    

More than 1300 people have signed James Heappey MP's petition pushing First Bus, North Somerset Council and Somerset Council to save the 126 bus, which is at risk. 

Member of Parliament for Wells, James Heappey, has been unable to support a bid developed jointly by Mendip and Sedgemoor District Councils after his input, and the advice of the Levelling Up Minister, was ignored. 

I write this column during the first week of the summer holidays, with schools having just broken up for their well-earned summer break.

Wells MP James Heappey is endorsing Liz Truss to be the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. 

Mr Heappey has worked closely with the Foreign Secretary and believes she is the right person to unite the country and take the Government forward.
