Highbridge MP James Heappey proudly opened King Alfred School’s Sixth Form extension this week following a huge increase in demand for students to attend from in and around the Burnham and Highbridge area.

Wells MP James Heappey hosted a long-awaited residents meeting in the city across two new developments to iron out a host of issues.

James Heappey MP met with the new Chief Executive of the Integrated Care Board (ICB) Jonathan Higman to discuss healthcare in Somerset. 

Mr Heappey was keen to raise the plans to cut waiting lists, solve the Somerset NHS dentistry crisis, and the workforce here in the South West. 

I’m not surprised that the lacklustre bid submitted has failed to find favour.

This morning (Thursday) Shepton MP James Heappey discussed the imminent closure of the town's leisure centre, which is run by Whitstone School, with Headteacher Guy Swallow. 

Wells MP James Heappey visited local business Burns the Bread to discuss the challenges which are being faced by small businesses and the steps they are taking to support workers.

Glastonbury MP James visited local tourism business Middlewick Holiday Cottages to discuss the new additions to the offering this year. 

Owner Jill Barker showed Mr Heappey around the expansion of the spa area, and the new cafe and farm shop.
