James Heappey met Avon & Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens in Shepton Mallet today to talk about crime and policing across the Wells constituency.
The Police and Crime Commissioner was visiting Shepton for the unveiling of a new bench at the Hillmead Community Centre but was also able to meet with James Heappey and local police officers to discuss crime, policing and other issues affecting the local area.
"It was great to meet briefly with Ms Mountstevens to relay some of the issues that local residents have been raising with me on the doorstep" said James Heappey. "Crime and anti-social behaviour rates are relatively low in Shepton Mallet but that doesn't mean that there are not things that really impact on the lives of local residents. I was grateful to Ms Mountstevens for taking the time to listen to those concerns."
